Easy Kitchari Recipe and Cleanse

This kitchari recipe is an easy and important meal used to balance all doshas in Ayurveda. Most importantly, it can be used in even the most difficult and severe health issues due to its nourishing and cleansing effect.

It is recommended that you do not save this as a leftover, as this destroys the life giving and nourishing effect of freshly prepared food. If you are on a cleanse, you may make 2 portions for lunch and reheat the remaining portion for dinner.

A kitchari cleanse will not only cleanse your gut, but also stimulate your digestion and still provide the nourishment you need. This diet is special because it balances all of your doshas. This is important for addressing imbalances, because at no point do we want any of the doshas to be more dominant than the others.

As a simple cleanse

You can do a simple digest cleanse with kitchari that lasts 3 days. This is a great way to balance out gut health. We recommend this cleanse for most adults once a month. You may find it helps improve sleep, cravings, energy, and overall wellness.
