September 22nd – 29th, 2022
7 Nights and 8 Days of intentional rejuvenation
The Ancestral, Present, and Emerging Land of the Pericú People.
El Pescadero, Baja California Sur, Mexico
Namaskar. Blessings and salutations to you. Gratitude for stepping into this space to explore the depths of Amṛta with us.
With Love,
Ranmalee and Shanel
Our “Why?”
Gratitude for stepping into this journey with us; a process that transcends the limited time and space of a typical Ayurveda and Yoga “retreat”. Most often, routines, rituals, and protocols acquired during “retreats” are not sustained beyond the curated experience. Amṛta (the divine nectar of immortality) empowers you to adapt and adopt āyurveda into your present lived experience. The individualized nature of this retreat allows you to awaken to endless possibilities of mind, body, and spirit connection in a nurturing and intimate setting.
Amṛta is the beginning of a restful journey into integrating you into an āyurvedic way of being in a space with epic sunsets and tropical winds. A nurturing space and experience to integrate and embody the lessons learned during the last few years. During this 7 day immersive experience you will be guided and nourished through foundational āyurvedic ritual, treatments, therapies, yoga asanā, intentional rest, and rituals to ignite Śakti; the all pervading force that is us. This is the first retreat in a series of 4 immersive experiences to support you in navigating Pançakarma detoxification therapy (Purvā and Pradhāna Karma).
What to Expect From your Ayurveda and Yoga Retreat
Guided by Ranmalee and Shanel, participants will deep dive into strengthening dhatu and ojas (tissue and immunity) to get the body and mind prepared for future “detox and letting go”. Located on organic farm land and a 5 min walk away from a secluded beach, the surroundings lends itself to an immersive āyurvedic lifestyle experience. All food will be locally sourced and prepared by chefs who are experienced in traditional Mexican cuisine. Meals will include traditional regional Mexican cuisine adapted to the foundational āyurvedic principle of food as medicine.
You will leave this retreat refreshed, rejuvenated, nourished, grounded, and accountable for not only your own wellbeing but for the wellbeing of your community. A journey to be taken together cultivating profound spirit and soul practices.
What will you receive at Amṛta Ayurveda Yoga Retreat in Baja Mexico?
Our Amṛta offering coincides with celestial movements of the Autumn equinox and the September Amāvāsya (new moon). A time for balance and integration of all agni (fire and transformation) activity in our lives.
Since our vision is to individualize your experience, you will receive an āyurvedic consultation 2 weeks prior to the retreat. This is a mandatory consultation so that we get to know you. Your nutrition, herbs, therapy, and routine will be based on your specific needs. During the Ayurveda and Yoga retreat, you receive support from the practitioner to best implement your āyurvedic protocol. Dedicate 7 days of living a completely grounding and nourishing āyurvedic lifestyle. You will be supported through this entire process and get more one-on-one support from Ranmalee and Shanel, as well as our intern Carina.
We will be guiding you into a deeper understanding of Dinacharya (daily intentional rituals and routines), spirit practice (Śakti Pūja), ritual, ceremony, discussions, workshops, intentional rest, and nourishment in a collaborative community environment. Meanwhile we will take time to relish in this luxurious space, take walks on the beach, and sit by the fire embraced by the ocean breeze. Create space in your mind and body to reflect on you and how you show up in “community”.
We hope that this will translate to seva and community care.

“Food as Medicine”

“Annam Brahma Raso Vishnu
Pakto Devo Maheshwara
Evam jnatva Tu Yo Bhimkte
Anna Dosho Na Lipyate”
Nutrition is not only about what you eat but how you eat. Overall, you will leave this Ayurveda and Yoga retreat with a renewed relationship with how you nourish your body, mind, and spirit.
Enjoy Traditional Mexican cuisine that is prepared using Ayurvedic Principles. Our chef will be preparing a range of plant and non-plant based foods that are sourced from the local organic farms that surround our Retreat casa. We will also have carefully selected animal products available for guests that want to include that in their meals.
Eating three meals a day, at the same time each day is one of the essential guidelines of Ayurveda. This helps regulate your digestive fire (agni) and increase nutrient absorption so that your meals can be used to build your tissues and immunity (dhatu and ojas). Meals will be personalized to build your digestive power throughout this retreat.

Your Ayurvedic Protocol
During your consultations, we will determine an herbal protocol to address any imbalances you are currently experiencing or for generalized wellness. During this time your practitioner will determine best herbs and administrations times to address your specific needs. The practitioner will support you throughout the retreat to create a regular intake of your herbal protocol. Each individualized protocol may include an herbal tea, tablets, herbal ghee (for non- plant based participants), herbal decoctions, or herbal jams. Later, you will receive a 1 week supply to continue your protocol after you leave the retreat.
