What should You know before you start your guided meditation?
First, you want to make sure that you have a comfortable spot to meditate in. You can choose to lay down or sit, but it is best to avoid your bed as this encourages sleep. You may want to have pillows, bolsters, blankets, or eye pillows to help encourage deeper relaxation. Some people use weighted blankets to further calm their body.
It is best to choose areas that are quite, free of distractions, no wind, or weather that will disturb your meditation. Meditation is best practiced at least 2 hours after eating or on an empty stomach.
